Dean Myerow a Fort Lauderdale local loves the Gateway Theatre

Hey its Dean Myerow again from Dean Myerow Associates writing about my favorite things. The Gateway Theatre is an iconic old school theatre that takes me back in time to the days of what classic movie houses used to be. No, it does not have all the creature comforts of some of the newer theaters but it is still wonderful. They also show many films which may not be available at other more mainstream cinemas. On, I pointed out on April 13, 2017 that this theater still has the Rocky Horror picture show on Saturdays nights, although not every weekend. When you are in town, especially on a rainy day, come check it out. I intend to see Stephen King’s “It” there myself this upcoming rainy weekend.

I am more complex than it appears. I am a Fox News watching Libertarian conservative that deeply values the idea of capitalism, Laissez Faire economics, and strong military. And on the other hand, my favorite book is Jack Kerouac’s On the Road, and my favorite music is the Grateful Dead. So reconciling, my conservative values with my counterculture roots is interesting . I enjoy taking long walks on Fort Lauderdale Beach with my Goldendoodles, Otis and Brady, when I am not actively working as a bond portfolio manager at Las Olas Wealth Management of Nat Alliance Securities LLC. I am a terrible golfer, who prefers the tennis court any day of the week. I am the lucky father of three teenagers and happily married for over 20 years.
