Dean Myerow from Dean Myerow Associates here again loving Ponte Vecchio
This iconic monument in Florence is a must see when in town. Literally meaning “old bridge”, the Ponte Vecchio is the most famous bridge over the River Arno, and was the only one spared by the the retreating Germans in 1944. The view from the Ponte Vecchio really gives one a good sense of what Florence is about. There is some fun shopping, particularly gold stores and leather goods. I may feature a bigger write up next visit on my deanmyerow.net blog. Go take a stroll there, you won’t be sorry.
